Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Draft — requires legal review before commercial launch. This page describes how Invalo actually handles data and works today, in plain language. It is not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer, makes no claim of certified compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles or any other regime, and is not legal advice.
If you use Invalo for your business
You can delete your data yourself, at any time:
- Sign in to Invalo.
- To stop Invalo using a Facebook or Instagram connection, open Integrations and choose Disconnect on that channel. Invalo then stops using the access token and stops processing new messages for it.
- To delete a business, or your whole account, open Settings and use the delete option. This permanently removes the customer, lead, quote, order, invoice, campaign, conversation, and activity data that belongs to it, revokes any connected integration, and — for an account — cancels any active subscription.
- You can also remove Invalo's access from inside Facebook (Business Integrations settings) or Instagram (Apps and websites settings).
If you messaged a business that uses Invalo
When you message a business on Facebook Messenger or Instagram, that business may use Invalo, which then stores the conversation (message text, your Meta-scoped ID and timestamps) for that business. To ask us to delete your messages, email support@invalo.au and include:
- the name of the Facebook Page or Instagram account you messaged;
- the approximate date or dates of the conversation;
- the name or username you used when you messaged them.
Please do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents. We will reply to your email about your request. You can also ask the business itself to delete your messages.
What we keep
Raw Facebook and Instagram conversation content is cleared automatically after up to 12 months. After a business or account is deleted, we keep only a narrow set of records — billing and payment history, and the minimum activity log needed for security, fraud prevention and legal compliance — for as long as we are required or entitled to under applicable law. Some records may also be retained briefly in backups before being purged.
